| Uniforms are an essential part of our dance discipline. They show pride in the studio and in your personal appearance. They also eliminate the fashion parade that can happen in class. Students are expected to wear uniform to all syllabus classes, if students are out of uniform regularly they will be asked to sit and watch the class quietly. If there is a valid excuse for not having the uniform please inform the teacher prior to the class commencing. When students start dancing at STARZ CENTRE we understand that it can take parents a little time to purchase all shoes and correct dance wear students are allowed to wear neat dance attire for a short while until they have their uniform. |
| BALLET: Pre-Ballet, Test 1 to Test 3 - purple leotard, ballet skirt, pink ballet shoes with elastic Bronze Medal to Gold Medal - purple leotard & chiffon ballet skirt, pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic Gold Star to Advanced - purple leotard & chiffon ballet skirt, ballet tights, pink ballet shoes, pink pointe shoes TAP: Tests 1 to 3 - purple leotard, tap skirt, tan tap shoes Bronze Medal to Advanced -purple leotard, tap skirt, tan tap shoes Tan coloured tights for all levels or socks for warmer months JAZZ & LYRICAL: Pre-Jazz, Tests 1 to 3 - purple leotard, boy pants, tan jazz shoes Bronze Medal to Advanced - purple leotard, boy pants, tan jazz shoes Tan coloured tights for all levels or socks for warmer months OPEN CLASSES (TEEN & ADULT CLASSES ETC) Neat, suitable dance attire to be worn with hair neat and off the face, please no street clothes or school uniforms HIP-HOP Suitable dance attire with sneakers, no bare feet. Hair off face. MALE STUDENTS: White t-shirt, black shorts or pants and the relevant shoes for dance style. SINGING: Comfortable street attire. HAIR: Hair must be secured for class i.e bun, braid, pony tail etc No loose hair, short neat fringes acceptable WINTER CLOTHING: Black or purple dance flares may be worn in jazz or tap classes. Crossovers and leg warmers may be worn when cold. GENERAL RULES: NO STREET CLOTHES and NO SCHOOL UNIFORMS to be worn in syllabus classes. No jewellery - studs or sleepers excepted. Troupes and open classes can wear any colour, neat dance attire with hair secured neatly. |
