At
STARZ CENTRE students have the opportunity of performing at our annual
concerts, also at eisteddfods and talent
quests as well as our local musical society productions.

We
offer private lessons for students who show the necessary talent and
dedication required to perform solos and duos as well as having teeny,
junior and senior performance troupes which students are invited to
join. Students wishing to do solos must show technical
proficiency in the relevant dance style and must be currently studying
that dance style to keep their skills up-to-date. We also
offer
private lessons for singing students if they wish to learn performance
pieces, students must have the necessary level of singing ability to do
this.
Students
are
not pressured into competing as we feel it is an individual desire to
perform that not all students have and we do not want students to feel
obligated to do something that they are uncomfortable with.

The ATOD
State Competition is open to any student who has
passed an ATOD examination in the past 12 months and
will be held in August either in Nowra or Wollongong or Sydney.
A fee is charged to enter and costumes are to be worn, these can be
hired for a small cost or you may organise your own and is a friendly
way to introduce students to competition as students compete against
their own grade using their exam dances.
